March 8, 2011:

"Bosox had his check-up today, and as expected, he got a great report!  Everyone in the vet's office thought he's adorable."

"My sister, brother-in-law, and their 2 little ones came out this past week-end to meet Bosox, and he did great with everyone!  He loved chasing the kids around the table and quickly learned to reverse directions and go under the table so he could catch them faster ~ very smart boy!!  In the past couple of days, he's also learned how to get on & off the patio and to sit for a treat; he loves playing outside too!  It's so much fun watching them learn, and shelties are such fast learners!!  My mom & cousin plan to come Sat to meet Bosox, and I'm sure he'll meet the neighbors soon too.  He's adjusting so well and has a great personality!  We enjoy  him so much!!"

Hi Ellen,

Sorry I missed you Sunday. Was hoping to see you and to show you how well Silk is doing!

Well I have to tell you, she was the "Belle of the Ball."  I don't think there was a person at the show who didn't play with or hold her at least once. She was so composed and happy and friendly to everyone. Everyone just couldn't say enough about how cute she is and what an "attitude". And of course, they wanted to know where she was from.

You should see her in her agility puppy class. She is awsome! Does all the obstacles ramps, table, weaves, tunnel etc. In fact as we were waiting to do another exercise, she just decided to run through the "big" tunnel for the first time all by herself. She is still wiggely and funny, but  focuses on what she is doing far beyond her maturity. And fast, wow, shes like greased lighting We are going to a new club called ARF. It is the offshute of Wild Weavers. Is run by some old friends from CATC. It is such a fun and positive atmosphere and Silk Is already a favorite there. I have more pics that I will send later

Armitage Sheltie Puppy Adjusts to her new Older Sibling

Sheltie Sisters

No really SHE did it... Sheltie Sisters

As is evident the girls are truly sisters now:) They play for hours on end. This surprises me because Jessie (age 5) has always been rather snappy with other dogs. She really was fearful and never had the chance to play much. So Silk has done wonders for her confidence.

She is doing beautifully in puppy class despite the fact that she is the youngest and smallest. Don't tell her that! The next in size is a
5 mos Terv. She is already doing small agility obstacles.
and she can't take her eyes off the older dogs running courses. She tries to go out there with them. She races around the kitchen and family room, over chair legs and jumps off the 2 steps, at least 5 times every night. She is so fast that all you can see is a black streak. She is also retrieving balls and toys. I will try to get some pics in class this week.

Despite her feistiness she is very well behaved and listens when you tell her not to do something. Is already house trained and barks and scratches at the door to go out. Also she still sleeps in her chair until I wake up no matter what time, and stays there until I come to get her. I could never have wished for a better puppy.

January 25, 2011:

We have a !! Wonder puppy here!!!
She has settled in nicely and right at home. Scratches at the door and barks
to go out. She sleeps on her chair until we get up, no matter what time it is.
Waits at the door until I say it alright to go through. She hits the paper every
time. It is still too nasty to go outside , but she would like to when Jessie goes.
Cant wait until Spring!!!! Jessie is playing with her now and it is so good for
her to be more active. I came into the kitchen today and she was sound asleep
draped across my shoes. She plays with anything you give her and can actually
carry a tennis ball around in her mouth. Sheltie friends on facebook are going
crazy over her. One from England who is on the World Agility team said she
would love to have her little brother if she lived in the US. Hows that for a
compliment?!!! So far nothing chewed up except her newspapers. Would not
need a paper shredder as she shreds them into perfect little ribbons.
More to follow...................
