Thank you for stopping by Armitage Shelties.  We are located in the rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio, near Athens.  Our 3100 square foot home was custom-designed for the Shelties.  After years of touring other Sheltie and Collie breeders' homes and facilities, we used the ideas we acquired to design our home. 



Our full finished basement features two indoor paddocks that have free access to the split rail fenced yard you see in these pictures, an additional three indoor paddocks, grooming room with raised tub and hydrosurge massage bathing unit, full kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer hookup, living room and guest room.




Our Shelties enjoy romping and playing on our picturesque farm.

Occasionally we offer AKC registered Shetland Sheepdogs to those who wish to enjoy them as companions, performance prospects, and/or show prospects.  Each individual is just that; they are unique and are from carefully planned and well thought out breedings.  We encourage you to put aside your color and marking preferences to concentrate on the best individual for you and your family.  When acquiring a Sheltie, or any dog for that matter, you are making a commitment to a new family member.  A family member that will be with you for many years to come.  The right match is imperative for a long happy life with your new Sheltie.  Please browse our pages to learn more about us and our Shelties!

We have a 32 x 40 heated/airconditioned Sheltie guest house that was originally built for our Collies.  It previously featured a grooming room and kitchen, however, those walls were removed so there is one huge recreation room in the front of the building for training and playtime.  The Sheltie Guest House has 12 indoor/outdoor fully covered patios.  The guest house provides extra comfortable accomodations for our Sheltie guests.
